Founder, CEO & Youth Supervisor: Maria Angel

Educated at St. Anne's Convent School, Rockstone Place, Maria has a BA (Hons) from Oxford Brookes in Business & Management, PGCE (PCET) from University of Greenwich and is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute. 


Founder/ C. E. O. of The N Factor Normandy Youth Club, Surrey from 2008 to present.

Maria is the youth club's First Aider and the club's Safeguarding Children's representative and directs the implementation of the youth club's Safeguarding Children, Safer Recruitment policies and procedures. Her responsibilities also include the implementation of the Induction, Training & Development of the Youth Supervisor Programme, that includes her role as an Equality Impact Assessment officer for the club.  


Volunteer St. Boniface church youth choir lead soprano and assistant to youth choirmaster & organist Ivor White for 13 years. 

Volunteer residential care home carer evenings and weekends for 10 years (subsidized fees enabled admittance of low-fee income elderly residents). 

Volunteer accounts & management committee member for Normandy Royal British Legion for two years. Successfully resolved branch accounts reformatting them ready for system audit within a two week deadline.

College teacher, subject lecturer and personal tutor at Eastleigh, Southampton City and Totton College on a part-time basis and Taunton's College full time in post 16 yr old further & higher education and training.

Volunteer founder & co-ordinator of Normandy Day Centre OAP Internet Cafe. Running a team of 8 volunteers and specifically launched to roll out the BBC First Click Computers for Beginners course held in Normandy Village Hall, the project ran for two years. The OAP internet cafe included a trial CAB Outreach Service, with hot and cold refreshments, its closure coincided with the ending of the BBC First Click programme.

Parish Councillor and Chairman of the Planning Committee (Voluntary) for Normandy Parish Council from 2011 to 2013.

Deputy CEO & Youth Supervisor: David Simmons

David who is a Councillor of Normandy Parish Council is in full-time employment as a general manager in Guildford. He joined the youth club in 2010 and has been a valuable member of the Youth Club Committee in the logistical setting up the evening youth club equipment,  supervising sporting activities and is an excellent NEET mentor for the Youth Supervisor programme. As Deputy C.E.O. he supports the C.E.O's role in the policies and practice of Safeguarding Children, Safer Recruitment and is also the youth club's Health & Safety Officer.

With two children of his own, David is keen to maintain the success of the youth club as a legacy to all youngsters in Normandy Parish and beyond.
